Sri Lanka LOcal Syllabus
School division
The management of Al-Haqqaniyah started the Haqqaniyah School to generate students who follow the right path set by our Prophet (sal) who taught us regarding this world and the next.
From Grade 6 to G.C.E. OLevel, the syllabus is in accordance with the Ministry of Education of the Sri
Lankan Government. Alhamdulillah!
Aim of our School
The Last Messenger, Muhammad (sal) is a blessing to mankind which time cannot erase. He was knowledgeable about this world and the next and he had strength in memory and insight, and all he did was in preparation for the life after death. He was a teacher for the society, a good leader, a humble warrior and a talented healer as well. He encouraged his companions to be well versed in many languages to do Da’wah.
The Principal, Usthads, teachers and administrators wish the students who complete their course in Al-Haqqaniyah, to have such traits of our beloved Prophet (sal). Using this concept, both Tamil and English school divisions was established.
They will not stop here, but they would continue their higher education, stand equal to others in society and continue their Da’wah contribution.
With this in mind, the Tamil division was established with Allah’s grace, and English, which is now a common and mostly used language, was also established to make it easier for our students to preach Islam and for Da’wah to spread wide and not stay confined. The English language division was established in 2004.
Presently, in our School, Grade 6 to 11 classes function in both, English and Tamil media. Among them, as students of Grade 6,8 and 10 study in both media, it is divided into A and B groups. Further, the School has a principal and to assist him, an assistant teacher is also appointed. There are 30 teachers in our School. Sectional heads for every Grade and Prefects are appointed to help with the smooth functioning of the school.
New students who join the Hifl division, in Academic level join Grade 6 and along with this they study the four years Hifl course, thus studying both Hifl and Academic studies together. As they complete the four-year Hifl course, in the Academic level they will complete the Grade 9 and move on to Grade 10.
These students and new students start the Shariah course, and begin Grade 10 in Academic level. Continuously, for 2 years they will follow Arabic subjects and Academic level from Grade 10 to G.C.E. O/Level. On completion of the balance four years, they will become qualified and be able to benefit themselves and the society.
Syllabus.
In our Academic level, leaving out Friday and Saturday, the rest of the days function from 1.30pm to 4.45pm with the support of trained and experienced teachers. For the students’ requirements, additional classes will be conducted at night and early in the morning. The lessons are conducted in accordance to the new syllabus in line with the Ministry of Education of Sri Lanka.
All the subjects are well organized.
Once the Shariah levels are completed, only then, our students are eligible for Advanced level studies. Further educational seminars, field trips, educational trips, sport meets and other events are conducted as well.
Up till today, for the past 5 years, from both Tamil and English medium, students who sat for the G.C.E. O/Level and A/Level have excelled in performance. To satisfy the needs of our students, management along with parents and well-wishers helped out to fund a building of four storeys with the required facilities such as a computer lab and Science lab to benefit the students.
Presently, the Internet and bid’ah of people proposing false ideas and actions as Islamic beliefs is a great challenge. It is our Ulamas’ duty to bring forth the truth and face the challenge and prove them wrong.
We train our students to use the computer to face such challenges, negate falsehood and correct such wrong ideals regarding Islam. For this purpose, they are trained to practice what they learn.
