Comparative Religions
To create co-existence between people in all religions and communities by clearing the questions and facing challenges that arise from this difficult venture to spread Islam worldwide, this unit was created by Al Usthad M.I.M Hanifa (Bahji).
As the Sinhalese community is the largest in Sri Lanka, with the help of this unit we hope to be able to enlighten them about Islam. Supportive help for this work is also provided.
1-year syllabus:
For the first 3 months, we follow these steps:
1. More time is allocated to write and read Sinhala, to give more exercise.
2. The beginning and development of Sinhala language, the importance given by Buddhists for it in the 1920 century along with historical events is taught.
3.. Arabic language.
4. Following the research of Islamic books, the ideals extracted are implemented in the present way of life.
5. Sinhala literature.
6. Computer
7. English language.
The following will be taught in the second 3 months:
1. Sinhala language, grammar and literature.
2. Arabic language.
3. Islamic way of thinking.
4. Asrarul fiqh
5. Usool ud da’wah
6. Ayath ud da’wah
7. Ahaadeed ud da’wah
8. Al ihjazul ilmi
9. Buddism
10. Chiristianism
11. Computer
12. English language
13. Translating Quran into Sinhala language.
14. Memorizing the Sinhala translation of Surah Al Fatima, Surah Al Feel to Surah Al Naas.
15. Reading Riad-us-Saliheen in Sinhala after Isha prayers and listening to Sinhala audios regarding Islam.
The third 3 months, students are taught:
1. Hinduism (with books, audios and videos)
2. Mukaranathul adyaan
3. Mukaranathul abkar
4. Training them on how to make Da’wah to non-Muslims.
The last 3 months:
1. When need arises, students are taken out to workshops conducted by professional teachers.
2. Submission of year-end assignments.
Last year in this division, 4 Ulamas were honoured and this year, 11 are to be honoured and given titles. Accommodation with all facilities required is available for these Ulamas. We have been conducting this course for the past 2 years. It was started on 2nd September 2013.
Our college has been successful, by creating reputable and well qualified teachers, by educating them in many fields in several languages, stressing in depth on Da’wah in from all parts in Sri Lanka study at our college.
